Dad update
Was getting in the car last night after picking up take out for supper when my phone rang.
Could not believe it...caller ID said Dad!
I quickly pulled over and answered. He sounded about normal, and said Hi Son, sorry it's been a while since we talked. I couldn't believe it. He was calling from the rehab facility he's in, now that he's been released from the hospital. He has now tested negative for Covid. One more test in a couple days, and if it is negative, he can then go home!!!
Needless to say, my Step Mom is beside herself.
Hard to believe...88 years old, at one point we almost lost him. Was so bad, they wanted to put him on a ventilator, but that was not an option because he has a DNR order, and yet he pulled through...PTL!
Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers!! I told him, there were many more people praying for him than he knew of.
He recieved 62 cards while sick.

Such fantastic news, Mark! So happy for you and yours! It's great to hear of these survival stories, and there are lots of them, but it's extra special when it's so close to home! Gotta feel good to know you've got some of those genes!

Re: Dad update
Great News. They are a tough generation. MY dad is from the same era and has battled brain cancer twice, we were certain he was gone, but has come back strong. He and my stepmother still live in the same house they bought while he was on active duty in the Navy.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
