I was so depressed last night thinking about the Chinese Flu, the economy, wars, jobs, my savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc., I called the Suicide Hotline.
I got a call center in Pakistan, and when I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, and asked if I could drive a truck.

I posted this on Face Book as well as sending out numerous emails. I have not received any negative reactions.

OK, we're starting to get a little suspicious about this Covid19 thing. It seems that we are now learning that although it is quite contagious, it doesn't hit everyone the same. Some folks have it and never know it, while others suffer terribly and die. New numbers keep coming out that it's not as lethal as advertised. Oh sure, for some folks it's a death sentence, but for others not bad at all. Well, pardon me but the regular flu is like that as well. I had pneumonia a few years ago and I will tell you it is not a fun thing to experience.

So I understand the need to lock down when this was discovered, but I can't understand the need to destroy our economy and ruin lives now that we know more about it. I think that now it's become a political tool to use against enemies and the press is running wild with it. Meanwhile, the common folks are losing a lot.

Let's think about this a minute. If this was an actual war, (which it is by the way), we would hunker down and learn how to live with it. This thing is not going away. It will probably be here five years from now, although vaccines will be developed, the virus will mutate just like the common flu does.

Once upon a time I was in a bunker in Vietnam. We had been caught flat footed and mortars were falling all around us. Problem was we had no weapons with us and were in our white underwear. Not good. My thought was we cannot just hunker down here and wait for one grenade to be thrown to kill us all. Nope, nope, nope! Two of us led the charge to get out of there and hit the perimeter with weapons. I'm not willing to just lay down and die. Are you?

We simply have to get back to work. (Well, I'm retired, so I mean as a country). We have learned a lot about this demon already. We have learned how to social distance and what are good and bad practices, so let's apply what we know and get on with it. Yes, there will be casualty's. There will be casualties either way. I abhor that, but if we do nothing our country as we know it will die. Practice good habits. If you are sick, stay the hell home. Cover your coughs. Wash your hands frequently. Wear masks. If you're not comfortable with this, stay home and wait it out. No one is going to force you to go back to work.

People, we can beat this thing, but not if we let it beat us. We the people must learn to deal with this and get one with it.

Let's roll!

Personally, I just don't trust the news or media. I don't believe I get the facts on almost everything they report, and I think most of it has an agenda. That's why I have stopped listening to most of it. My opinion only.

He was a lot of fun to watch on the first moon landing. Like a kid at Christmas.

That graph shows the number of deaths reported in the month but not if they died during that month. A lot of these deaths are cases of one or even three months ago that were now reported as Corona to qualify for the govt money.

That's the problem with this reporting system. They're being paid to report whatever they can as Corvid19.

Here's another problem. As ridership dwindles the commuter services are reducing the number of subway trains, light rail car, and metro buses so as not to lose as much money. Which causes the remaining ones to be just as crowed.

Another thing is all the folks who are now being discovered that have already had the virus and recovered. Some with no symptoms at all. That drives the death count ratio way out of whack.

There are so many questions that we cannot answer, yet we are sabotaging our country in fear of the unknown.

This from the CDC with today's numbers update. A footnote also states these are 1-2 weeks lagging.

I have read that there is difficulty in some cases and areas getting the stats to match the reality on the ground. No hospital beds reported yet others say no problem. No ventilators avail yet lots unused. Projection models wrong. Same in this country. PM said we would be on lockdown for a year, then releasing restrictions is just weeks away. How are you supposed to trust the info you get? Can't.

Kinda makes you want to say; if nobody is sure of the facts, why is the economy shut down? Lots of lasting damage done on shaky models, sketchy facts, and reporting that mixes truth and bias. Anyhow, keep calm and carry on and whatever the facts are, this thing will run its course.

I need to get out and shoot....too much thinking.

I agree, Coop, he, along with other press, lied. He did lead the pack. Had no use for the guy. JMHO ( and I was there).
