WalMart Cattle Chutes

Post by GunnyGene » Sun Apr 12, 2020 10:56 am

Went to (Columbus) Walmart this morning. Wife wanted a couple things, and I was curious about how much crazy there might be. First thing I saw was these shopping cart cattle chutes. In the pic you have to go in via the cattle chute on the right, and exit the joint thru the door on the left. Also some aisle's inside were one way traffic. Hardly anyone in the place at 0730, and about the only ones wearing a mask were the employee's.

Reminded me of DaNang, except there they used sandbags and chicken wire on the storefronts, and I was carrying a M-14 instead of a concealed pistol. But hey, they gotta start somewhere, right?

I was wearing my Social Distancing hat so didn't feel the need for a mask.

Saw one of these at a recent Home Depot visit. It was 30 or so feet long and was just that white plastic chain strung between trash cans. Funny thing was that there were no people in line. As I walked up I just stepped over the first section right in front of the door and walked in. The HD employee at the door gave me a nasty look. As I walked by I asked "Do you really expect me to walk 30 feet in one direction, then 30 feet back just because there is a white plastic chain blocking my way?" She didn't say anything and I kept on walking. Oh, what a rebel I am.

There's a wide variety of the DV hats, T's, patches, etc. They are all made by Vets, for Vets. DV is a great organization that helps vets in many ways. Check them out.

But only one at a time and 6 ft apart. Who came up that distance anyway? And how is measured - from belly to belly?
