Would not know Jim. We have always shopped for at least 2 to 3 weeks out, so have not been recently.
I AM aware of the shortages, however, prior to going out again, thank you for letting me know what to expect. We live in the same state so I feel like we can expect similar circumstances.

TP, paper towels, canned goods, anything antiseptic. Ammo, reloading...hit or miss at times. About the same everywhere.
I was in Harbor Freight yesterday, all the latex gloves had been donated to local hospital. Shelves bare.

If it gets really bad, be sure to get the cat litter. If you have a friendly cat; he or she might let you use it if this TP thing gets any worse.
It does clump, if Ya get the right kind.

Around here seems to vary with the store.
Closest grocery store, Cheese, Eggs, TP, Hand Sanitizer and Wipes hard to get. Next closest, smaller store but much better stocked.
Can't find things at Home Depot, but Lowes has plenty.

I stopped going out daily over a month ago. I shop once a week early in the morning and can get anything except hand sanitizer which I haven’t used in the past. My supply of bathroom cleaner works just as good in the kitchen.

Monday is my shopping day so expect a Report then.

I guess we had or have plenty in our pantry, so the store shortages haven't effected us, but the same items that everybody talks about is the same here in or around Johnson city. I braved the virus yesterday and went to Wally world, and scored a 12 pack of TP and thought I hit the jackpot. They had plenty of pretty much all goods. Maybe it's getting better out there.

It's the same here as others have noted. Burger and flour comes and goes as well as pasta. Paper products are no shows. I have been getting some fresh groceries once a week but am planning on skipping the next couple weeks.

I don't really know as the wife has doing most of the scrounging up of the goods.
I've heard her mention a thing or two here and there, but I weren't really payin' attention. :o

Hey Jim -

I’m finding similar, but not identical situation.

Food
I don’t normally buy plain white rice or cheddar (not by my choice). I looked for the yellow rice mix yesterday and saw none. I did get sliced Swiss at the deli.
Ground beef can be hit or miss, but I find chicken very hard to find.
We typically buy some of the Pane di Casa bread at Harris Teeter vs the commercial loaves. But I have been to the store and have find them out of loaf bread, English muffins and especially tortillas numerous times already.
I haven’t looked for bottled water since we are on a community well, but I’d better pack some if it looks like I can find a way to get to the cabin.

Paper products:
Mostly this is empty shelf space. Yesterday at HT they had HT paper towels and Angel Soft TP.

Sanitizing:
I did run across some of the Nitrile gloves at WM a few weeks ago in the painting and automotive departments and grabbed some.
Masks? Not even in the paint section.

It’s strange because walking through the store, I see full selves with completely bare shelves mixed in. Prepared foods go faster than foods that require prep

Stay safe and healthy!

We're fortunate in that we have a farmer friend that raises beef and sells quarters to all his friends. We just got a half of a half before all this hit. We have a lot of meat. The Wife finally scored some TP last week so we're all set on that count. We live an isolated life mostly.

What we have been doing is ordering pick up meals from our favorite places. Prime Rib last night with baked potato, salad, and garlic toast. Really good.

.
Recently scored a box of nearly ready to eat Kirkland Quinoa from Costco. It was horrible. Very unpleasant flavor. Won't buy that again.

Finally broke down and went to the local Ingles supermarket. All the usual stuff was gone. That's OK though, as I was not after any of those items. Really did NOT want to go, but it gets to a point when Ya just HAVE to. Won't let the wife go because she's older and has mild COPD.
Wore a surgical mask I found in my small wood shop. No gloves though. Just washed very well when I got home.
DID encounter a few IDIOTS though!

The local walmarts in our area are out of toliet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, rawhide dog chew bones, and beer. Our local mom and pop store though still has an ample supply of toliet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer and beer.

Good here so far but as the media pushes the panic agenda again and again, shortages are sure to follow.
