Been shopping for a good, new belt for normal wear and holster carry and while not wanting to spend a lot on a double stitch lined one found a heavy duty, single layer style at my local Sportsman's Warehouse for $21.99!

I am in the break in process with it now but it is supporting my 1911 and double mag pouch quite well!

I OC regularly so it helps to have a good, solid belt!

Yea - works well with getting in and out of my vehicles as well - I did an in and out check today and no hang ups or bumping when getting in or out.

Good looking rig. As long as it don't hang on something getting out & jerk you back in, you're good to go, LOL

That belt looks pretty good. It looks good and thick like it should be. Good luck breaking it in Ed.

I'm of the opinion that a single layer of leather is best. I have had some hefty belts that were two thin layers of leather with cardboard stitched inside. I picked up a really nice, very thick single layer belt at a local leather shop. Ran about $35 and it works very well. The only issue is that I have lost about 20 lbs since I bought it. A few months ago, I took it back and the nice lady in the shop shortened it. Now I'm on the last hole and am starting to think it needs another shortening. Of course, the shop is closed now with all the stuff going on. Black and Decker could give me another notch, but I'll leave shortening the tail to the shop. They have a neat tool that gives a perfect finished end with one whack of the mallet.

I have always had the double layer styles with an insert of stiff plastic and I had been shopping and typical double layer lined 'carry' belts are pretty spendy. This Is my first 'heavy duty' single layer leather belt and it seems to be working out fine.

Carried all day yesterday and am today and it is starting to take 'shape' to my bony hips and no azz!

I am a slender 'lanky' tall guy - long 'ape' arms and legs. Heck when I was bowhunting I have like a 34" draw length and my arrows (aluminum at the time) only needed like an 1.5" cut off to adjust the length for me!

A single layer leather belt will break in real nice. I bet this will become your favorite belt.

I have an expensive double layer gun belt but I rarely wear it since getting a couple of Nextbelts. Really like the ¼" adjustments. I have the EDC belt but the regular belt is stout enough for a smaller gun. They have a huge selection of belts and buckles.
