Help Wanted - Odd Item Needed

Post by Mistered » Thu Feb 27, 2020 9:12 am

Anyone know of a some sort of small, hand held liquid sprayer (will use water) that can possibly be hand pumped up or better yet charged with a compressor?

Ideally something along the size of a large spray can with a 'trigger' type release to spray a thin stream of water (not a 'fog') but I wouldn't have to continue to squeeze it.

Do a search for spray guns over on shopgoodwill.com. I find a lot of neat items there for not too much money. They usually have a lot of knives for you folks that are into pocket knifes.

Can I ask what you intend to use it for?
Might help spark a thought or suggestion.

Cat behavior modification.

My cat has gravitated from flinging herself at the front door in an attempt to get my attention she wants in to now clawing at the bottom of the inner furring strip around my front door the weatherstrip mounts to and she is tearing it up so when this happens I'll open the door and give her a blast of water in the hopes this teaches her to stop this!

I think a swat with a cheap 36" ice fishing rod would do the trick. :D kidding...not kidding.

And I think this would be overly aggressive, unnecessary and a bit mean.
Squirt gun.
Too weak and I want something pressurized and think I found something recommend to me on another forum - a small hand held, pump up agricultural sprayer meant for indoor plants. The guy who recommended it says it has a stream about half the size as a 'good morning one' !

Cats hate water in the face, I know because we deal with the same thing. Water in the face, whether mist or stream, always does the trick.
Beyond that, firepower is needed..JK 😁

You can get a trigger operated spray bottle in the garden supply area of many stores. The nozzles are adjustable from a mist to a stream.
