What a very cool demonstration of basic electric motor/ generator principles! I was amused that he bought those two massive copper plates online at an “affordable price”. I found some and they are $265 each for a 12”x12”x 0.5” thick size. Now I need to decide if I want to buy them for a toy, or buy a new gun.
