Rainy today so got back on my brass catcher bag custom mount which will attach to both my Henry rifles and the Hi Point .45 carbine.
Made up those tricky plastic thumb nuts which had to be 4-40 thread for the Hi Point. Cutting those knurls in the tough plastic was fun
on the lathe! Some things you just can't find in your hardware store.
Just waiting on those special 8-40 screws from Brownells to mount it on the Henrys.
Bag will also flip up to check for any feed issue in chamber.
Site seems to be OK. Load issue should be resolved now.

Re: Busy in the shop this morning.....
Looking good, there forty. Good job on the knurls. I miss working in the T & D shop. Don't have access to machines now. As you said, can't always find it in the store, and sometimes handmade is better. Have fun..........
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Looks good and way less bulky, and won't interfere with the sights like those straps.
Good job.

Re: Busy in the shop this morning.....
Thanks! Yes it is a much better setup to attach and no issues with blocking the sights. Might get a chance this weekend to see how it works on
the Hi Point carbine.
