Sinus issues.....

Been having recurring troubles with my right side sinus being clogged up. I do use Flonase to help with allergy issues and been doing the
hot compress on face for years but lately nothing seems to really keep it fully open. Now it's affecting my quality of sleep and why I'm posting this at 4:30 AM !
Going to make appointment with ENT specialist in town. Anyone have that balloon treatment done? Looks like a great way to open
the airway up and reduce need for OTC medications. You DON'T want to rely on some of those nasal sprays for fast temporary relief!

Nasonex. Been using it for years. Effective with no bad side effects. I used to take allergy shots but I control things now with Nasonex and Allegra. Both available in generic OTC form from Sam's. Allegra is fexofenadine.

Everybody reacts differently. I have been struggling with allergic rhinitis for decades. My problem is my body develops a tolerance and meds just stop being effective.
Lately I was taking loratadine (generic OTC Claratin) and it worked OK for a while but did not last even a day. The half life is only 8 hrs. I am now trying its cousin dosloratadine (prescription only). It has a 27 hour half life. Holy cow is it effective! But after taking one pill daily for four days I had such bad vertigo I couldn’t walk. It builds up in my system, and it took a whole week to go away after stopping. I am now trying half a pill every two days and even that low dose works great.
It is frustrating, so many meds, so many serious interactions or side effects. Depressing to say the least.
Have you tried an effective room HEPA filter at night?
Good luck.

.
Get yourself a Doterra diffuser for the beside. Put 4-6 drops Doterra Breathe oil in it at night. During the day use a Breathe stick.

I was out this morning in the chilly air working on a target project and noticed my right sinus cleared right up.
Went in the house and gave it a flush out with the saline nasal spray. Funny how these things work!

The good old outdoors cures a lot of things. Hate being stuck inside in winter.

Fresh air works wonders. I go outside and just breathe some at least twice daily.
