I'm pretty stoked right now! I'm the top qualifier for my club's annual trapshooting championship. I broke 92 out of 100 in the qualifying rounds.

The championship match is Saturday. The top 5 qualifiers will shoot a single round (25 targets). My confidence is high enough at the moment that if I break anything less than 24, I'll be disappointed. If I shoot 24 and somebody runs the table to beat me, I'll be okay with that.

I'm shooting as well as I ever have. The targets look real big coming out of the house and I'm getting on them and splattering them quickly and effortlessly. The 8 I missed in qualifying were all the result of trying to be a little too quick.

I won't get to shoot any practice rounds between now and Saturday, so I just have to hope I'm still locked in when I get out there. Really looking forward to it!

congrats indeed .... we are scheduled to meet some friends on Saturday morning to shoot trap at the local state shooting range .... none of us are in the 24 category but several routinely hit 20+ and we have a great time

Nice going. Today is Saturday so you must be at the range winning it all.

five of us met at Jay Henges trap range this morning .... http://nature.mdc.mo.gov/discover-natur ... ion-center .... no top qualifiers in our group but we had a really good time ..

I hope you had a good time, no matter how it went. That's what matters most.

I shot 24 in the finals, but another guy tied me. Then we had to shoot another 25 and I dropped three, and the guy got me by one.

Oh, well. It was fun and I'm looking forward to getting another crack at it next year.

Fun is the name of the game. I've done some competition but never made it past the first round.
