Just checking in

I don’t think I’ve posted or gone to the range in more than a year. My life really changed three years ago and I think I was mad at the World. If I have offended anyone here I would like to apologize.

A lot of my time is spent hiking and working around the house. I’m putting in more hardwood floors and will be doing some remodeling in the bathroom, laundry room and kitchen.

I almost summitted Mt Stuart and will try again this summer. Mt Rainier is also on my list. I turned 70 this past summer and only have a few years of mountaineering left so I have to make the most of it.

My 50th Army reunion is coming up and I have mixed feelings of going. It would be great to see the guys again but it always brings back bad feelings.

Maybe I’ll post again soon.

Nice to hear from you Sir Henry. It has been a while and sounds like you are keeping busy. Miss seeing your posting on your shooting. Don't stay away so long.

Hiking seems like fun. I like being in the woods myself. I can understand bad feelings. I try to avoid them. I like having happy thoughts. Sometimes, a beer or two helps.

I think of you often, Gene. I'm glad you checked in. I don't think anyone here has been offended by your absence; rather, I think most of us understand it... a few of us understand it all too well. Take care of yourself.

Gene, take what time you need. The place will always be the same whenever you stop back. I'm glad you let us know you are all right. Go chase those mountains before you can't get to the top. We'll still be here.

It was nice to hear from you my friend. Gods speed in the next year.

Hey, Gene,

Good to hear from you and that you're so active. :) Hiking and mountaineering in the fresh air is a much more healthy activity than pulling a trigger! Keep on enjoying the outdoors while you are able.

Your once-in-a-while Forum "check-ins" are always welcome. Stay well, enjoy any music you might hear in those hills, and God bless you real good!

Bob
