Good News story --- and some memories

This is really a very cool "Good News" story I read today. It also strikes home.

This week (July 3rd) it will be two years ago that my dear wife, Joyce, died of Parkinson's Disease. I'm reminded of that as I recognize some of the symptoms Barry Roberson daily faces. PD is ugly stuff; but he's not a quitter and is a conqueror.
I'm certain Joyce would have really liked his story. She also was not a quitter, a people-person, and particularly liked to take care of the family (me, daughters, siblings) with all the needs of daily family life. And it was many little things that she kept after even when the PD made it tougher and tougher for her to do them. One small kitchen duty she loved was making her famous Dagwood sandwiches....lots of everything on them, and so big that it took more than a single bite to get one bite!
And for another daily chore, she loved to wash and fold laundry. Okay, both "enjoyments" went away as the PD more often forced her to fall and yes, break those bones. But those loving things she did, she loved doing, and we were blessed to receive from her.
OK, I remember her today through the courage and care of Barry Roberson as he is battling PD. Note that he said this about the PD, and what good has come about for him:
That really makes it "Good News," doesn't it?
I'm hoping this great story will encourage some of you today. It surely did that for me.
