Since we lost the last one, we haven't been ready for another dog, but Tina decided she wanted to add one recently and has been researching. This time, she wanted a small dog, that could tag along in the kayaks when we go fishing.. and sit with her when she is relaxing. All our other dogs have been large service dogs. Rotts, Shepherds, boxers. We went today and picked up a Westie. Eight weeks old. NOT a yapper, couldn't deal with that. Drove two hours up into the mountains to pick her up... nice drive out... nice drive back. I'll pay for it.

If she makes Tina happy, I'm all for it.

We have always had a dog or few, but after losing the last few, and being unable to keep up with the energizer bunny of a boxer...
(Which we took to my Granddaughter in OK) we decided to forego them for a while. Tina just decide it was time, but no more large dogs, for now.

My son "married into" a Westie and he's a great little dog! Enjoy the heck out of him. Dogs are special, no doubt about it.

Initially I was against it but not long afterwards it became my dog. Now I have no idea what I will do once he is gone.

I'm a firm believer that pets improve our quality of life. I'm a dog lover and have 2 rescue mixed breeds. Love them!
