Doris Day -- the end of her days.

This article just published today on the death of Doris Day sure brought back some enjoyable memories of her great music/singing, and comedy movies. One of my favorite songs was "Que Sera, Sera,” which she sang in "The Man Who Knew Too Much." Although not one of her comedic movies, Doris Day and Jimmy Stewart portrayed a wonderful couple in that film.

I've never heard another singer come close to the standard she set for singing Que Sera, Sera .... one of my favorites .... I hate to hear that she's gone

She seemed like a good woman, and was very devoted to helping animals, but I could never stand to watch her overly fluffy movies.

My wife likes her movies on TCM.
Not for me but sad to see old Hollywood slowly disappear. She was a big star for sure.

RIP Doris Day she was a good lady. Seeing all these childhood stars pass is kind of a bummer.

I've always admired Doris Day. She overcame so much in her life and was such an accomplished actress and singer.
I've seen and enjoyed most of her movies, but I'm particularly fond of
It Happened To Jane with Jack Lemon and Ernie Kovacs, which was mostly filmed in the small town where I live. Many of our town's Boy Scouts appeared in the film, and my wife's parents both worked on the Essex Steam Train that's featured in it (during their retirement years). What's amazing is that the town itself hasn't changed much since the film was made. Max Showalter (another actor in the film) loved it so much, he retired here.
