The home we bought 35 years ago was built in 1961 and still has the original pink tiled bathroom which includes of course the required PINK
toilet. Now the wife has been after me to upgrade the bathroom with new floor, tub, toilet, sink....the whole deal which I dread.

Lately the toilet had turned into ol' rocky top starting to loosen up at the hold down studs and being rather busy yesterday I called a plumber
to do a quick fix.
When the guy came in and spotted that toilet his eyes lit up saying "WOW a vintage 1960's pink Eljer!!!"
Yes he was transported instantly to 1961 by my time machine bathroom. You would think he was laying his eyes on a restored 1961 Chevy
Impala 348 Tri-Power/4 speed!!!
The original tank supply valve on the water line would no longer fully shut off the water and was soldered on so had him replace with a new one that is screwed on while replacing the doughnut seal and new brass studs.
Now my wife doesn't have a real idea of what a bathroom make over cost nowdays but she got a hint when the bill for this repair was $374 bucks!!

Anyway I still have my classic porcelain throne and bathroom! I happened to Google my flusher and was surprised to see the pink 1960 Eljer
as a highly sought after classic selling for 400 bucks!!! :o

Collectors item. My mom has one just like it and a blue one too for the boys washroom.

Maybe you can leave it in your will to a favorite nephew....

We had yellow Kohler wall mount from the 1960s. Couldn't find a white replacement. When I redid the main floor bath couple months ago, I had a plumber come out and redo the toilet plumbing stack so we could install floor mount toilets on the main floor and the upstairs bathroom. The stack conversion by itself was $1000.
