Got to say this frontal view throws me back to 1970!! It keeps telling me to "buy me" .

That's a beauty. What year? Decent shape? Mileage? Love the hood clips (or whatever they're called). Old school clips meet LED headlights!

Or is that a brand new one?

Drove a lime green Charger R/T back in the day. It was used and I wanted it real bad. But at 2.50 an hour at the time I just couldnt quite swing it.

I had a 2012 Charger a couple years ago, and the dash computer kept going out. Fourteen trips to service in ten months. A couple years later I seriously considered a Challenger, but the Dealer didn't want to deal, at all. Said he didn't have to. The Hemi Chargers sell themselves.

I found a couple classics, but the owners felt they were too dear.
Bought the 2015 Frontier instead.

That is a new one on the lot at our local Dodge dealer. It is the 392/485 HP Hemi Scat Pack with the Shaker hood.
Loaded of course and something like 46,000 bucks....which blows me away!
But it is the only new performance car that looks from the front like the old 70' performance cars.
I had a 1969 Dodge Dart GTS 340 that color.

Just something about that black Shaker scoop and a Hemi!

My brother had a white one of those back in the early 80s. I don’t think he paid more than $3-4000 for it at the time. I’ll bet he wishes he kept it!

Well I don't think the chains on my swing are quite long enough for the $45,000 price tag...48,000 on sticker

I'll just have to be happy with my Little Red Beast 1985 Mustang LX with it's 550 HP 427 Windsor.
Hey it might not have that Hemi Shaker front end look but it is 1500 lbs. lighter and paid for with no local Personal Property Tax to pay being an antique now! Plus I can fix it with a screwdriver and wrench.



But all is not lost.... My brother is currently working on getting his 1970 Hemi Cuda up and running again....very slowly.
He bought it new in Summer of 1970.

Those two will keep you busy enough!

Yeah it will be COOL to get his 'cuda up and roaring again.
That last fuzzy pic,from 1973, is how the 'cuda sits today and that is my blue 1972 Opel GT sitting to the left...all in Dad's driveway!
The lower pic in that frame is the Hemicuda with it's factory Shaker hood back in late 1970.

They may not make many like they used to but that really looks like they did back in the day.


The other thing I like is that the Chrysler chassis is more my size when it comes to a car and the way it ought to be.

I had a 1970 Plymouth Fury III that color, had 383 engine, 8 track tape stereo and vinyl seats. A/C never worked which sucked growing up in Texas.

That is actually not a bad price -- a comparable Mustang would be around $50K, and the Camaros are even more expensive. Sharp looking car.

That is a beauty! I love that the US manufacturers are getting back to the muscle car roots in body design. Every one of them were building cars that looked like a clone of the Camry it was getting boring.

Yes they are continuing to build them but there many less players or choices than what we had in the 60's and 70's.
The new ones are smooth and fast but way to loaded down with options and weight adding fluff and getting too expensive for the average 20-30 somethings.

I bought a brand new Z/28 Camaro in 1974 at the age of 20 and was paying my own insurance of course and had money for the required
"Day Two' parts like headers,factory hot cam and such on my Toolmaker Apprentice pay of 2.85 per hour.
Nowdays I don't think very many 20 year olds could do the same on a 45,000 new car.

Today being retired dumping that much for a new one scares me!

I say they are adding too much fluff to jack up the price, and the fluff complicates simple tasks. I would love to set the radio stations with the push of button on the front of the radio, turn the volume up and down with a knob, and set the temp with slide bars. Too many of my new cars have run and driven fine for years, but the flat screen in the dash... Quit. Plus, it did a hundred things, and I used five. The others were overly complicated, or required you to buy additional services to use them.

My newest truck has navigation in dash. Never use it, it's useless. Would only find about half the addresses when the truck was a week old and the software should have been up to date. Called the dealer, they suggested a $399 upgrade to the software, plus $99 per year subscription. Bought a Garmin, came with free updates, and free subscription to the traffic alerts.

I nearly bought a purple 1970 with a vinyl top and a slant 6 with 43k on it for $1600 in about 1983. Still kick myself for not doing that, but I’m sure it’d still be long gone by now.

I did buy a 1982? Challenger (made by Mitsubishi) in about 1986. It had a 5 speed and was a fun car, but not at all the same as a real Challenger.
