Still raining in TN

Yesterday I decided to ride down to the TN river just to see how high it was getting. WOW!
This first pic. is at Saltillo Tn, that post is usually half way from the top of the ramp to where the water is. The water line you see is actually about where the ramp starts.

These next pics. are at Pickwick dam, I have never seen all the gates open.
There are I think 20, and every one is open, and 12 are wide open. It looks more like a rough day on an ocean than the river.

fascinating .... that is one heck of a lot of water .... there has to be downstream flooding

Definitely, and are predicting about 10 more feet before the river crest this next week.
That first pic is down river some ten miles or so.
I have never seen the water that high, but I'm usually not down there.
The water there is 20 ft. higher than normal, can't imagine another 10 ft.

I'm REALLY sick of rain here in WNC, as are most everyone I talk to. Those are some ominous pics!
