Yearly eye exam

My yearly eye exam was Friday. My wife schedules it on my birthday if it is a weekday for my birthday. Easier to remember I have an appointment. I got all good news from the lady doctor on my tests. She is always amazed at my eye sight for my age.(70 last Friday) I read every line clear to the bottom line with right and left eye. No glaucoma or MD present and no cataracts. She said my vision is 20/20 and far superior to her vision and she may be about 30 years old. Not bad for a old geezer. Another year for some peep sight and open sight shooting.

Happy birthday, (belated), Bandit. That partially explains why you can put a hole in a penny and split a playing card with your rifles! The rest of the explanation is pure shooting skill! Old geezers are still in the game; often at the top of their game!

So no reading glasses yet? I'm 66 and without my glasses have 20/20 in my right eye and it's not terrible in my left eye, have very slight cataracts, nowhere near bad enough for surgery yet but I've needed bifocals since my mid 50's and have to increase the magnification every few years, I can read fairly large print but not newspaper/book size.

A belated "Happy Birthday", bandit, and congratulations on having such fine 'peepers'.
My usual reply to the optician when he asks me to read the chart is "Chart? What chart?"

Happy Birthday and congratulations on your great eyesight!
Some of us are ten years younger and not so lucky.

Bandit, congrats .... good to hear .... I turned 72 a few weeks ago and can't say the same .... have had cataracts removed from both eyes .... 2 weeks prior to leaving on our current trip I had to have laser work on both eyes to help with pressure issues .... now I have to find a place to have the pressure checked while we are traveling .... not complaining, just happy that if there is an issue it can be corrected

Congrats, bandit. If I had those kinds of eyes, I'd be doing a lot more iron sight shooting, too. Unfortunately, I've NEVER had 20/20 vision in my life and have been wearing glasses since grade school. Call me the poster girl for shooting while wearing glasses.
Had my yearly eye exam, back in December, and I got a good report, in that there are no problems and no change in my eye sight. I'll take that at my age and be thankful for it.
