Branch fell on... Tina's Workshop

Like another member posted about the van. 
Tina came in a couple days ago and said that all the sudden the ceiling in her workshop where she sews and does her soap making was damp in several locations. This 12x20 Amish building is more than twenty years old but has been well maintained. It was my woodshop until we built the new one in 2016. Over the years, we have upgraded and painted the floors, insulated the walls and ceilings, had it professionally wired, upgraded the lighting, and covered the walls and ceilings to retain the heat and ac. The roof was stripped and reshingled just a couple years ago.
Odd that it should all the sudden start leaking. After the snow melted, miss t climbed up to put a tarp over the roof until our handyman could get out, and found a one inch diameter branch had been blown from one of the oaks, fallen like a javelin, and speared thru the ridge vent. Yup, that would do 'er.
We got the tarp tied down. We will have to patch the hole and seal the edges of the patch. We will probably have to have our guy pull at least a couple sections of the ceiling below the hole and check (okay, replace? The wet insulation.) It may end up being a number of sections of the ceiling. At least we don't have to reshingle the roof... We hope.
