With a Capital "L"

Post by PT7 » Tue Dec 18, 2018 3:46 pm

A headline in today's LA Times, and the article remembering her was well-written.
Penny Marshall, who played feisty Laverne in 'Laverne & Shirley' before directing movies, dies at 75

That was a fun sit-com, and definitely the many laughs, which folks enjoyed, are remembered with a capital "L."

I remember her more for Directing Big and A League of Their Own, both starring Tom Hanks. Each delightful.

I always loved LaVerne, and actually tried milk and pepsi.
I always thought Ms. Marshall would have been one of the few I would have enjoyed spending a vacation day with, talking about this or that. I don't say that about many. Another part of my memories gone.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
