No range Report for the second Monday in a row. On Friday while driving the high wind blew a large branch down and it hit my van. No range vehicle for a few weeks. The appraiser should be here in an hour.

Ouch....sorry about that, Gene.
As long as you're okay, the van can be fixed.
Trust it gets resolved well and soon.

Yeah, we’ve had some vicious winds here lately! I had a 50’ tall dead tree fall and hit my friends trailer. They live in Europe and I let them keep it on my lower acreage when they are not around. Just the top hit the trailer, but it broke a vent and punctured the roof in 2 spots. Luckily I procrastinated putting their brand new cover on for them, or it would be holed too.

The wind also broke a casting on the Zip Dee awning on one of my clients Airstreams. The dark and rain is getting stale, although the amount of sun we’ve had in nov-dec has been fantastic! It’s been really warm too.

Your van is going to be a bit of a bugger to fix with that dent in the roof. Is that a Transit?

Yes it’s a Transit Connect.

That would be handy for the range for sure. Especially here in the PNW. I have shot out of the window of my camper in winter before, and I guess you could do the same on rainy days with your back doors.

Gene, glad to hear you weren't hurt, but sorry to hear about the damage to your vehicle. That's a tough one. Hope you can manage to keep shooting. We were getting used to those weekly reports.

I'm glad you weren't hurt. That's a very scary event. Thankfully, it was not larger; it could have been a whole lot worse.

I can make another Red Ryder Report but I think they get old fast. The plinking is fun though because I’m getting into more bench shooting at the range.

Bench shooting and plinking are about as opposite as you can get.

The damage was just appraised in my driveway. The total was $3,053 and I will pay $500 of it.

Glad you are ok Gene. I bet that had to of gotten you're attention on impact. I know the last couple years here on I-70 in the Glenwood Canyon rocks have fallen stricking cars and in one case killed the occupants of the vehicle.
