Old Hunting license

My wife found a few old hunting licenses from earlier years of my hunting. My first one we didn't find yet was a 1956 county license. You could buy a county license in Md. for $1.25 or state wide license for $5.25. My first few years some times Dad had the money for my state license and due to furloughs from work he some times had only enough for the county license. She found my 1957 license that was state license. I was eight years old and Dad had bought me a brand new 37 Win. 410 a year earlier. On the license it has I was 3"6" tall and weighed 52 lbs. Man I was a heavy weight for my age.
She found one from 1965 also when I was 16. Same year I got my drivers license. Also is stamped that I killed a deer that year. I think that was my second deer kill. I believe my first I was 14. I really got fat over the years from '57 to '65. I was then a over weight 135 lb.
5'9" 16 year old that thought I knew more than my Dad. He showed me every time I was wrong. I wish he was still here showing me the many times I am still wrong. May not find my first year license or any other years due to the house fire that wiped out about every thing Mom and Dad had saved plus Dads life.
Well enough rambling I have to go meet one of our forum members at my LGS at 10:30. This will be the third member from our forum I have had the great opportunity to meet in person. This should be a fun morning talking guns and hunting and having lunch together. I would love to meet many others from the forum in person. Have a great day and be safe.
