The 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby

well, its Derby Day .... the race itself is due to start around 6:34 PM on NBC, the prerace show has been on for hours .... I'm not a fan of horse racing, have never attended one in person .... that said, we do enjoy watching the Derby and at times have followed through to watch the Belmont and/or Preakness .... as always the lady's hats are "colorful"

This way I can get to the few minutes of action.

Nyquest was truly impressive .... lived up to his prerace hype .... the Derby was fun to watch .... now to move on to real racing ---- NASCAR ...

You can tell that I have been out of it for a few weeks since I totally FORGOT about the KY Derby until it was all over with.

I don't follow most sports events or horse racing but I always paid attention to the KY, MD and NY races.
