without a doubt my biggest (most pleasant) surprise since joining this forum has been the level of interest in rimfire rifles .... looking back, it shouldn't have come as a surprise, I'd simply never thought about it one way or the other .... I've always enjoyed shooting 22LR in both rifles and pistols but for me, shooting meant centerfire .... I have enjoyed following the clear enthusiasm folks have for rimfires and do plan to revisit a couple in our vault that have been resting for the last few decades

As someone new to the firearm world, I notice how excited people are about their rimfire rifles and how much they enjoy them.

I've gone full circle over the decades between rimfire, centerfire, and now back to rimfire.

I've always liked shooting both. I shoot rimfire more just because of the cost. Once i'm settled in the new digs I want to start reloading .38 and .44 mag and special.

I'm glad to see all the interest in shooting in general.

amen on glad to see a general interest .... its good to see interest in shooting sports growing all across the country

I used to shoot more rimfire in my Henry Frontier and my Ruger 10/22. Then became a "hoarder" with the .22 shortage. Of course, hard to "hoard" something you can't find.

Because of that and starting to reload, I am now shooting more .357 mag/.38 in my Rossi 92. I also picked up an M-1 carbine replica chambered in 9mm (a blast to shoot), a Ruger American Ranch rifle in 5.56/.223, and frequently shoot my son-in-law's Henry in .44 mag.

If all goes well, I am doing some part-time work on the side and by mid-July should have enough to pick up a Henry in .357/.38. The Rossi is an okay rifle, but can't hold a candle to my SIL's .44.
