a morning visitor
Around 10:30 this morning while mounting a scope on my Remington 541S out side on the porch I looked back toward the creek behind my house and saw this fisherman beat every one to the fishing hole. Also had a great view of the fish from where it was sitting. Been in the area quite a bit lately. Nice to see them around. The tall tree on the right side.

Re: a morning visitor
They are always a joyful sight here, too. I hope it mates and they build a strong nest in that tree; it looks like the perfect place to raise eaglets. Thanks for the photo.

We have them around the lake at camp. They are impressive neighbors indeed.

Great birds, I have been watching them and the family on the web cam from Hays near Pittsburg. The other day they brought a dead cat to the nest to feed the eaglets. http://www.pixcontroller.com/eagles/

Second eaglet, "Mmmmm. Tastes like chicken...with a slight mousy aftertaste".

We don't have many on the populated side of the Cascades but in central Washington its common to see one if you are outside all day.

I'll have you know it is my intention to move to western Montana, as soon as I win the lottery. Can you loan me a dollar for the ticket?
