2018/2019 NCAA Football

Post by JEBar » Sat Sep 01, 2018 8:00 pm

Happiness Is ===> is the opening of the 2018 NCAA Football season .. :D .. weekends filled with college football as NASCAR's Chase for the title shifts into high gear .... from watching West Virginia whip the Vols it looks like it may be another tough time on Old Rocky Top .... Clemson breezed by Furman, it was much the same as Ohio State romped by Oregon State .... biggest surprise for me has been Maryland getting by Texas

Love college football. Like the Tide, USC, Boise St, PSU, just NCAA football in general. As long as they stay away from that nfl nonsense, I'll watch. Oh, almost forgot; Purdue, it's where my son graduated from two years ago.

My wife is a Tennessee grad and a former Lady Vol (tennis '83-'85). We are both big college football fans. We're prepped for a tough season. And based upon how soft that O-line looked against WV its also going to be a LOOOONG one!! Go SEC!

Appalachian St. almost had a massive upset over Penn St. this weekend. Went to OT.

Hurricane Florence pretty well wiped out our local games scheduled for today ....Duke was out of state at Baylor and came through with a 40 - 27 win

the Longhorns were locked in a pretty good game with the USC Trojans during the first half .... after the 'Horns got a major break on a safety call, they rolled in the second half

Not quite as bad but
Tide over Ole Miss 62-7

By the looks of the scores, the LSU vs Auburn was the best game.
LSU over Auburn 22 to 21.

My Longhorns slept through their first game against Maryland but woke up to play USC this past weekend with an admirable second half. Here’s hoping....

It's interesting to sit here between the KU Jayhawks, who just beat Rutgers 55 to something and the MU Tigers, with Drew Lock throwing for 4 touchdowns or so every game so far. Not exactly two college football powerhouses, but it's WAY more interesting this year than in recent years past.

I love watching small college football when it is on or when some teams are playing locally' I think it is because I played for a small state college that had maybe 2000 students. I was a whopping 153 lbs linebacker/safety. Our defensive line average about 190. Some of the guys had only played 4, 6, or 8 man football in HS. ( This was South Dakota. Not a lot of people in the state back then) But, by god, we were playing! Good memories.
