I thought this was neat. I saw it when looking for reviews on some guns. Im kind of a junkie for reactive targets but this would also work well for the air rifle nuts here.

I tried them at our local indoor range. Meh.

Clovispup was underwhelmed as well.

They don't last long either, unless maybe you use .22lr.

There were some like this at the gun show in Charlotte only they were steel. If I had room at home I'd have a set. The nearest range longer than 25 yards is 30 miles away.

I would try them with air guns if they're steel, but not any soft material. Pellets can and do ricochet off of soft targets. If you look at the instructions on some of the soft self-healing targets, it specifically says not to use them with air guns for that reason. Pellets need to flatten out completely or you risk a chance of ricochet.

Even with metal targets, I still get ricochets on the tiny, lightweight spinners when a pellet hits them a glancing blow because they don't offer enough resistance to flatten the pellet on a glancing shot. The heavier metal spinners and reactive targets may not react as wildly as the tiny little metal targets you see for sale at Walnut-mart, but the heavy stuff does a much better job of preventing ricochets.

For those of you shooting in a backyard with neighbors around, you need to be careful about the targets you use for the sake of ricochets.
