Happy New Year All!
If you could only keep one gun ?
If you could only keep one gun ?
Some of you guys can't say here on the internet, but it's still good food for thought.
What if you could only keep one gun?
Which one?
For me it would be my Win M70. Not because it is some great all round gun, but more for having always been there.
Anyway anyone else ?

Re: If you could only keep one gun ?
only one gun would be a tough choice :
only one rifle : Remington 700 BDL 300 WBY Mag .... there is no 4 legged critter on this continent that it can't handle
only one pistol : Ruger Redhawk 44 mag .... much the same reason as above
only one shotgun : Remington 11-87 12 ga .... it can handle the 2 legged critters and a bunch of the 4 legged ones as well
so, if only one .... it would have to be the Remington 11-87 because of its versatility .... its hard to shoot skeet with a rifle or pistol

Well, I don't even like the thought of that, but for practical reasons, it would have to be my 30-30 Winchester.
For fun reasons, my Ruger Vaquero.

Yes, that would be a tough one to swallow, but I suppose that it would have to be my Henry Golden Boy .22. But couldn't I just sneak in my Marlin 1894 .44 magnum somewhere?

Re: If you could only keep one gun ?
Because of the current laws in CT, the most useful gun I own is my Classic H001. It's allowed for small game hunting on state land, so that's the one I'd keep. If it weren't for that legal restriction, I would choose my Brass Big Boy H006M. I love them, both.

Oh no its the dreaded "if you could only keep one gun" thread.
I only own one gun and its a Red Ryder BB Gun. The rest of mine sunk to the bottom of the lake when my boat capsized.
But my favorite firearm before the accident was a Henry H001 with a Marbles tang and Lyman globe. Its fun, I mean was fun to shoot.

Re: If you could only keep one gun ?
Since this is all theoretical (or is it?), it would have to be a .357 lever rifle. Preference would be a Henry Big Boy Steel Carbine, but since I don't have one yet, then it would have to be my Rossi 92 carbine.
In this area, it would be able to handle any two or four legged threats but it would also be useful for hunting and providing food.

Re: If you could only keep one gun ?
If I could keep only one that I used to have, because I was in the other boat when I saw Sir Henry capsize and I went to help and I capsized too. All the guns at the bottom of the lake.
I would have kept the Henry Golden Boy in .22lr. The ammunition is popular all over, the lever action does not require external magazines that could get lost or damaged. A misfire is easily ejected. It's accurate, durable and will last past my lifetime. It could get game, take care of varmints and protect me. A large amount of ammunition could be taken if you have to get out of Dodge fast. I chose it over the Hoo1 because it looks better. lol.

Ma Deuce .50 bmg. I don't currently have one, but if I could only have one gun, that'd be it.
