Lake Chelan
I haven’t been online much but am getting tons done at home. I only use my phone now and logging in here is a hassle. Facebook is much easier and I do a lot of poring there. I know a lot of people don’t like Facebook but it serves my needs.
I’ll still be checking in but not as often as I was.
I’m on my way to Lake Chelan State Park.

Have you ever been up the lake to Stehekin. My family used to go to Lake Chelan a lot when I was young but I have never been to Stehekin.
For those that don't know Stehekin is a 50 mile boat trip up the lake, no roads to Stehekin,

Re: Lake Chelan
Yes I have been there many times. I was thinking of going again. Most time I take the Lady Of The Lake but I’ve also flown in twice.

I tried to get there once. We rented a house on Lake Chelan and a boat. Boat had a very shallow draft and I was unable to push through the wood chip debris mid-lake.dave77 wrote:Have you ever been up the lake to Stehekin. Mags I can’t find you on Facebook and can only open a PM once. At least I don’t have to login here each time.

I found you. Picture of your sleeper helped. There are a lot of other people there with your name. So had to go through a few to find you.Sir Henry wrote:Mags I can’t find you on Facebook and can only open a PM once. At least I don’t have to login here each time.
Only open a PM once on HRF? That is weird. I don't have that problem.

I've never heard of the wood chip debris but have heard it can be dangerous to take a small boat through what they call the narrows when it's windy, the waves can get quite large.Mags wrote:I tried to get there once. The lake is quite impressive, they say it's 1500 feet deep in places.

Re: Lake Chelan
In places the debris is so bad even the Lady Of The Lake avoids it. The bottom of the lake in the deepest places is lower than sea level.dave77 wrote:I've never heard of the wood chip debris but have heard it can be dangerous to take a small boat through what they call the narrows when it's windy, the waves can get quite large.Mags wrote:I tried to get there once.
