Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600

Post by Sir Henry » Sun May 27, 2018 10:53 am

I will be watching both races today. As a race fan this is one of the best days for racing, even better than Daytona.

See ya next week.

And the Monaco GP.
When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn't become a king. The palace becomes a circus.

Danica has already wrecked so I'll tune back in tonight when they drop the green flag for the 600

I watched on my computer while doing some reloading. Will Power got really lucky there at the end. I thought for sure Carpenter was going to win the way he was driving.

Good weekend for us Aussies claiming both Monaco and Indy.
Im still in awe of Danny Rics drive at Monaco, it might have been a procession but to lose 25% power output before 1/3rd distance and then face over heating brakes and using only 6 of 8 gears and still manage to stay in the lead was awesome.
Engineers wanted to retire the car when it dropped power but the team manger decided to leave him out until it died seeing he was in the lead, Dan somehow managed to nurse it 60 laps to the flag.

I was disappointed in the 600 with Bush winning.

agree .... unfortunately, NASCAR today is structured to keep all cars even .... race after race, whoever gets out front stays out front .... there is still a bunch of passing in the pack but seldom for the lead
