I liked the landscaping photos Sir Henry posted. Here's photos of some landscaping/rockwork I did many years ago when I was young and ambitious, I wouldn't even attempt something like that today. Photo quality is not the best, they are cell phone photos of old prints. The rocks are still there but unfortunately I've let it get pretty overgrown.

Very nice. Makes my back hurt to think of moving all those rocks. We moved two dump trucks worth of riprap to build flower beds ten years, or was it fifteen years ago. Some of those are still in place. Others we have removed to reduce the weedeating.

Beautiful work. I did something similar in 2005; I moved three tons of rocks, one at a time, to make a backyard pond and waterfall. It literally broke my back. By 2012, I had to have spinal fusion surgery to repair a slipped disc. I've never been the same again. The pond still looks pretty good, though.

It looks great. In all I have moved 32 tons of rock, 36 yards of 3/8 minus gravel, and 12 yards of topsoil. All from 15 feet to 200 yards. And I'm not young anymore.

That looks cool Dave. I like the frog in the pond. Is it still around?

Still have the frog, also a turtle. I really should get ambitious and get it cleaned up. Problem is it's by a wild creek and there were many native plants that I didn't totally get rid of before planting new stuff. Need to weed spray for a couple of years before I start clearing it out.

Here's a couple of better shots of the frog. I got almost all of the rocks from the hillside on my property but my neighbor brought me the really nice rocks in the one photo and also the flat rocks for the one set of steps from a place alongside the Columbia River. Other than those few there's not a rock there that I didn't move in by myself. Had to use a fence post and a come along to move some of the bigger ones. Was all I could do to get the big one into the middle of the pond.

That's a lot of work Dave, but it is beautiful. Nice job.

Its really cool Dave but I know all about the to much yard work. Hard to get ambitious about yard work when those Henrys are screamin at you to get them out of the safe and go shooting. At least for me anyway. Al
