OK, I've never paid much attention to "the Royals" .. .. my wife, on the other hand, wanted to watch this morning's Royal Wedding .... so, that was what was on our TV all morning .... after thinking about it, I figured I should make an effort to get into the proper spirit .. .. I hit on the idea of spending the time cleaning Henry the First, Henry the Second and Henry the Third .... doing so worked for me ..

You have a very cool line of royalty there, JEBar. My "Royals" are not doing so well on the "diamond" this season. Maybe they need to exchange their ball caps for tiaras?

Back to your thread and the real British Royals. Glad they finally are married. Hope it is a joyous marriage, and lasts as long as the Queen Mother's marriage has!

Now that's my kind of royalty, JEBar. Wish the newly-weds all the best, but all that pomp and ceremony is about as far from this country gal's style as it gets.

I skipped the range this morning because the weather forecast was predicting thunderstorms all day. So, I watched a moment while my wife was at home. Then watched the Giro d'Italia on my laptop. The Euro Sport announcer said something like, I know there is something else to watch today but you made the right choice! Still no thunderstorms or even rain. I should have gone to the range

My wife watched some of it, but it doesn't interest me at all.

This classic song performed this morning in St. George’s Chapel, selected by the newlyweds, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, was particularly surprising and delightful. How times have changed!

Thanks much, CT. That was a beautiful, moving rendition of a song written before they either of them were born --- 57 years ago!

Particularly enjoyable to watch was the camera pan at about 2 minutes. As the singers repeated "stand by me" several times, the focus turned to the couple holding hands and smiling at each other. A special moment & memory for them of their wedding day!

You mean there was a Royal wedding today?! Wow! Who knew!

I did not watch live but took in the clips. Thought the kids holding her train and each others hands was touching. A little teary watching that. I also liked her walking down by herself.

Now, "Stand by Me" is very much my style. Those classics never get old or outdated.

Went bass fishing this morning before the rain and caught a 3 & 4 pounder. Took a nap with the dog. Wife made dinner then we made oatmeal cookies. There was a Royal Wedding???

I could care less. I have never hung on the lives of the rich and famous.
