I attended a FNRA banquet last night, and came home grinning.
My table had a fruitful evening.
First, I won a nice little Browning fixed blade hunting knife. It has a 3-1/4" drop point blade.
Next my friend Joe was drawn for a Henry survival rifle.
Minutes later my brothers name was called for a Marlin model 60.
Finally, my ticket was drawn for a S&W M&P15!
I think this may end up being a gift to my uncle, the one who just gifted me 50 acres of hunting ground.
Yep, great night all around.

Congratulations on your lucky evening. Sounds like your table had an extraordinary night.
The only firearm I ever won was at a FNRA event several years ago - it was a Remington 887 shotgun.

Picked up the M&P this afternoon and took it straight to my uncles house.
I set the box down in front of him and opened it up, then asked him, "What do you think of YOUR new rifle?"
"What do you mean "MY" new rifle?"
I told him if he was interested in having it, the rifle was his.
He just started grinning ear to ear and said, "Well YES, I WOULD like to have it!"
I've known the man for almost 60 years and I've never seen him so giddy.
I explained the operations, showed him how to tear it down for cleaning, and just some basic instruction.
I also told him when he wants to go shoot it to let me know and I'd bring him an extra mag, a cleaning kit, and a couple hundred rounds of American Eagle .223AR
WE just got some trail cam pics from our new property the other day showing several different coyote traveling through the property.
WE can tell they are different animals by the difference in size.
Now uncle wanted to know if the M&P15 would be a good coyote gun!
He was overjoyed to learn it is just the ticket for such varmints.
This is going to be so much fun!
