I have collected Cross Pens since I got my first Classic Century Chrome set for high school graduation. I still have them. That led to the Classic Century Chrome roller ball and then.........................

I haven't stopped. I just got a Tech3 with stylus and was happy, until I read the instructions and found out the Tech4 had a .7mm pencil instead of the Tech3's .5mm. Soooooooooooo the Tech4 in chrome is the latest.

I have a boatload. I love my desk sets and perhaps one of my favorites is my Mark Cross leather desk set.

I must agree with most people that quality has diminished since leaving the US, but I still love them. I have a couple from Ireland that may even surpass my US pens and pencils.

My all time favorite has to be the classic century 10k pen and pencil set with the old .9mm pencil. It just says affordable class to me.

I also remember as a kid, finding a four color pencil of my dad's. He got it in Germany while in the service. A few years ago, on another forum, I saw a similar pencil. One thing lead to another and.............................

Nice collection Dave. I don't really collect pens by make or model. But I do appreciate a good pen and tend to have quite a few that I just keep adding to the pile.

I have a Schaefer (sp?) that I've had since the 1980's....use it everyday. I'm kind of a one pen man.

I remember Catholic School in the 60's, we HAD to use a fountain pen, and we all used the Schaefers. They were different colors, and took the cylindrical ink cartridges. I wonder if they still make them ? I doubt it.

Neat collection, DD. I like pens a lot, but don't collect them, per se. I have two or three Parker pen/pencil sets, which has been the most reliable and solid for me over the years.

I recall the Sheaffer fountain pens, too, and using the ink cartridges in school. I think the company is still operating, if I have the spelling correct. https://www.sheaffer.com/en/writing-instruments And a smaller version of those cartridges is pictured under their "Refills" link at this web site.

I think what I remember most of all about these pens was the colorful messes I used to make all over the desktops!!

I've only owned one expensive pen in my life...........and I lost it so now I'm back to ten cent Bics.

I was a pen turner for 25 years so my collection consists of pens made by me.

It was the same at the Catholic school I attended. No ballpoints were allowed; only cartridge fountain pens and the nuns sold both the pens and the cartridges. We also each had to have a briefcase to carry our books to and from home. They were lined up in the hallway outside of each classroom during school.

I've had a hand turned pen for more than 15 years. It's made of Ironwood (don't recall which); when I was part of the work force, I felt naked on those rare occasions that I left home without it.
