Went to a Pa. gun show at a Rod and Gun club Saturday. Lots of poor quality guns there with prices that should have meant high quality rifles. I only saw one lever action there that was nice and that was a 336 Marlin 35 Remington. Price was $499 but I already have a 35 so I didn't have a need for it. Left there and stopped in a gun shop and looked around. I did pick up some ammo for 22 lr. I got two bricks of CCI standard for $34.99 each and also some CCI standard in the Christmas package from last year they had left over. They are the 300 rounds packed in the 100 round plastic box with three in each package. They were $19.99 and got them for $18 each. I am going to let a friend of mine get these from me if he wants them for his Remington 541S he just bought a few weeks back.

Very nice to find those standard CCIs as holiday gifts in the springtime!

It sounds like a gun show I went to last year. People really think highly of some of their stuff.

At least you found something. It's always nice to pick up some extra ammo.

Gun shows are amusing whether good or bad. There are always silly prices, gear, you name it...

I like a laugh now and then. Maybe I'll actually buy something at one...

I haven't gone to a gun show in a decade. I just don't see any reason to pay a fee just to see high prices.

Ammo is good.

with the exception of not having been to one in almost 30 years, I understand and agree .... we have two local gun dealers who stock a much larger variety than we would ever consider .... add to that the building of both a Cabela's and Bass Pro in our area and I simply don't have the desire to pay to park, pay to get in and fight the crowds .... I'm glad they have them and I'm glad other people frequent them

Gun shows can be a very mixed lot. I saved hundreds on my Henry brass 45/70 buying it at a show this winter! The dealer had lot's of Henry's, great prices. And he was very busy selling them. A couple of other dealers had a couple of Henry 22's and couldn't give them away for the prices they wanted.

There is a reloading supply dealer that only hits the shows. No brick and mortar store. He usually does good by me.

Same for powder. I can get powder at the PA shows that I can't find in MD in stores.
