Limited fuel, no passengers or baggage reduces the weight by hundreds of thousands of pounds -- still impressive.

I think the climbing rate is good but the angle of the photographer made it look like it was going straight up. A side angle would have been better. I still a couple of these a month coming in for a landing on test flights. The Everett Boeing plant is just north of where I live. It is not a commercial airstrip but rather a runway for test flights so I don't get a constant noise.

There are several videos also of the bigger Boeing planes doing the same thing. The 787 and the 777. They are very impressive.
