Headed for the woods this morning

I headed for the woods early this morning. First day of Pa. deer season. I was about ten miles from home and reached over on my truck seat to move my shooting sticks and found out I had forgot my hunting jacket. So back to my house to get it and after driving home and unlocking my security gates and getting my jacket it was starting to brighten up in the east over the mountain. So I decided not to go because I didn't want to drive in to the hunting area and maybe mess up the other guy that would already be in his deer tower. It is private land I hunt on and I don't want to cause any problems with the owner. I stayed home and ended up helping the guy who showed up to put the new railing on our side porch. He really did need my help as he had broken his wrist falling from a ladder at another job. So everything worked out and I don't like to hunt deer any way. My wife likes the burger for some of the things she cooks or I would not even leave my home to hunt deer. I have just processed to many deer to enjoy it any more. Can't wait for small game season to come back in plus I have a fur bearer license again this year and plan to make use of it when we get some snow. To all members who are hitting the woods for deer "Be safe."

Folks like you bandit, will help keep hunting alive as available huntable land grows more scarce. Miss T and I don't hunt any longer though we both hunted when we were younger. That doesn't mean we are against it, we just choose not to partake. It's too bad the poor sportsmanship of a few reflects badly on the group as a whole.

I rarely get the chance to hunt anymore. Your consideration for the other hunter is very kind bandit. I wish that were the norm.
I like to deer hunt. I have only gotten to go once in the last several years. This past Thanksgiving. It was cold. My electric socks came last night. They seemed to work well when I tried them.
I like small game and will hope to get out in a month or so. Enjoy your small game hunting bandit.

You know, now that you mention small game... I guess you can say Miss Tina still hunts, sorta. She's a varmint/predator terrorist. She snipes the possums, squirrels, coons, yotes, feral dogs and the rest that invade the coopland with the efficiency and effectiveness of a Marine Scout Sniper. Nothing goes to waste, every scrap is eaten by the population of the back pasture.
She uses the scoped CZ 455 .22.
