Tested the Tumbler

The wife of the Owner of the Kayak Company who sponsor's the tournament which Tina used to run, came by yesterday and dropped off 3,750 raffle tickets so that I could test the Raffle Ticket Tumbler, and so she could get a peek at it. She loved it. 
We dumped all the tickets in and spun it a few times and it appeared to work perfectly. The door didn't pop open with the weight of the tickets, a major concern. Four Rare Earth mags held it fine. 
I had some other testing that "I" wanted to do, but she didn't need to be around for THAT. She hung around and visited for a couple hours, we talked about the kids and the like and off she went.
This morning after my coffee, I went out to the shop and sorted the raffle tickets into two piles by color, orange and blue. I wasn't worried about the colors for the first test, but I would need two different colors for the second... as you'll see in a minute. First test, I wanted to insure that the drum as designed would keep the tickets evenly distributed, so I loaded all the orange tickets all to one side, then spun the drum slowly, ten turns. Boo - Yah, success.
With the tickets loaded to one side, I slowly spun the drum ten turns to see if the internal paddles would smooth out the load.
After ten rotations, the tickets were evenly distributed across the drum. A successful test!

The second test was the most important. I had carefully installed the paddles to mimic a washing machine agitator, hoping it would stir the tickets in the drum, moving them both right to left and left to right and thoroughly mix them in the drum. This would test that. I placed the tickets in the drum with the orange tickets again all to one side, and the sorted blue tickets to the other. I turned the drum slowly twenty turns to avoid the interference of centrifugal force holding tickets against the drum...
I peeked in the windows and ....
Worked like a champ!
