We dumped all the tickets in and spun it a few times and it appeared to work perfectly. The door didn't pop open with the weight of the tickets, a major concern. Four Rare Earth mags held it fine. 
I had some other testing that "I" wanted to do, but she didn't need to be around for THAT. She hung around and visited for a couple hours, we talked about the kids and the like and off she went.This morning after my coffee, I went out to the shop and sorted the raffle tickets into two piles by color, orange and blue. I wasn't worried about the colors for the first test, but I would need two different colors for the second... as you'll see in a minute. First test, I wanted to insure that the drum as designed would keep the tickets evenly distributed, so I loaded all the orange tickets all to one side, then spun the drum slowly, ten turns. Boo - Yah, success.
With the tickets loaded to one side, I slowly spun the drum ten turns to see if the internal paddles would smooth out the load.
