If they offered me the chance to shoot that rifle, I'd thank them kindly, explain I'd already had a shoulder surgery and didn't need another, and pass.
2400 grain bullet, over 240 grains of powder in a .905 caliber rifle. What the heck are you shooting? T-rex?

Back in the mid 80s, I was stationed in Hawaii with Search and Rescue. I was a member of the rod and gun club from the first week on base, and filled a number of slots in the three years there. Secretary, Conservation Chairman, Hunting Coordinator, Vice President. A great club. A member of the club, a custom gunsmith, held a patent on foam filled fiberglass stocks for high powered rifles. I carried one of his 30-06 bolt guns on a hunting trip once. It was so light that after checking the zero on the scope by firing the three rounds, I hoped I didn't get a shot.
Once we returned from the trip, I thanked my friend for the loan of the custom rifle, and went back to my old faithful at the time. A springfield 03 30-06...

Cheese and Crackers! There comes a point where bigger ain't better it's just bigger.
I've seen old punt guns even bigger, black powder shotguns for harvesting flocks of ducks or geese on a pond but they were lashed to a skiff.
The first shooter had it under control, everyone else just kind of coped. Nobody cried so they're all tough guys.
I couldn't afford the custom boolitts much less the gun. Or the corrective surgery it would take to get through sighting it in and shooting a few groups.
