Kudos to Samsung

Post by BrokenolMarine » Sat Sep 23, 2017 6:56 pm

My daughter, son in law, and grand daughter were over for a long visit today... and among other things we watched a couple movies on the blue ray player. After they left, I put one of the NCIS discs back in. "No Disc" came up on the screen...
I tried several other discs, with the same result. The player is 11.5 months into the 12 month warranty so I called the Samsung number, not expecting much... it WAS 4:45 on a saturday afternoon.

Amazingly, a real person answered, walked me thru some troubleshooting, then downloading and upgrading some software, via a wifi connection. :P Before too long, I was back among Gibbs and the NCIS crowd.

Congrats Samsung! That's customer Service done right. :D
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Hey BrokenolMarine, yeah that's not really an incident, more of a metaphor for the various fires started by galaxy phones.

It was actually intended to be a joke. Don't own a smart phone myself, you know...............

It's good that they have good customer service though.

I don't own one either, lol.
My wife has one... all it does is tick me off. Smarter than me and my fat fingers. The contact list scrolls at twice the speed of sound, it does so many things, I can't figure out how to answer it. She is always losing apps, the battery is always dying, and omg was it expensive.

I have a dumb phone. It makes calls, sends and receives texts, and takes low res pics. I do have a slide out keyboard for texting. I realized texting shortened my time on the phone lot, and covers my butt.
"Stop by the store while you are out."
"Sure, send me a list. "
"You forgot butter. "
"Ah, nope. YOU forgot to put it on YOUR list, see?" ;)

Also saves return trips...
Picture message...
Click... send...
"Is THIS Ranch the right dressing you wanted to go with the dinner?"
"No Dear, get the Newman's Own, two bottles to the right of the Ranch."
