Williams had a pretty smooth, easy going style that was very listenable. I am not at all familiar with Montgomery/Gentry but I know they were quite popular and 50 is way to young to cash in. Very sad.

Don Williams was certainly the gentle giant. I liked him best after Johnny Cash.

Montgomery Gentry is one of my favorites. I have seen them many times. This video is one of my favorites of theres. Some of there best songs were never released off there albums. I had the opportunity which I have a pic from to a meet and greet with them. I also loved Don Williams. Like Goerge Jones says in a song whos gonna fill there shoes. Im deeply sadden by the loss of both of these talents. Al
