Just a comment about the woodworking...

I usually buy a few things as needed for each project...
But I went out yesterday to start a "bridge" project, what I call the small filler projects between the larger ones, and discovered I needed bandsaw blades.
You can get cheaper ones, but you work harder, and they dull quicker. Three blades... $100.
Two 1/4", one 3/4".
Had to go to Richmond today, swung by woodcraft. A few tools I have needed. Zero clearance insert for the table saw. Flocking supplies, small square, more of the thick ct glue for knots.. $150.
Good thing is... I have most everything for my projects. Every now and then, things just need a tune up.
Up coming projects...?

A tumbler for raffle tickets...
The one we have been using for our May military kayak fishing charity tournament is way too small to handle the growth. Miss t threw something together years ago when it was fifty people and we were bringing in six or seven grand. Now the tournament is pushing two hundred loyal attendees, sells out in less than five days.. (limited space) ... and this past may we were pushing eighteen thousand raised, all in.
A couple knife kits...
Caught them on sale... I do the handles... they came from woodcraft two or three years ago. Good use for scrap woods.
Boxes...
Maybe a handgun box for a 1911, or just a nice exotic wood keepsake box with beautiful grains...
Anything to stay out of the house.
*** I'm not complaining about today's expenditures. All hobbies have em. Fly fishing, it seems all the fly lines go at once, and decent fly lines are certainly dear... $75 for a high end floating 6wt bass line.
Reloading...
Don't get us started on the consumables... but you add a caliber.. omg...
the set up costs. Have a part wear? Brass wears out.
Golf.. don't play... but my dad has seven sets of clubs..
Fishing... different rods for different fish.
