Anyone from the St Louis, MO area ?

Post by JEBar » Wed Apr 06, 2016 3:10 pm

next Tuesday the 12th and Wednesday the 13th we plan to be driving from our home in central NC to just west of St Louis, MO .... if we have any members who live in that area, we'd enjoy the opportunity to arrange a meeting ... on Saturday the 16th we hope to get to Jay Henges Shooting Range & Outdoor Education Center --- http://nature.mdc.mo.gov/discover-natur ... ion-center .... it is a remarkable facility, we have nothing like it in NC .... we plan to spend some time shooting Trap and to send some rounds down range with our Henry 44 mag and 45-70 .... we hope we will be able to get to get to know some of our folks from that area

Enjoy the time with your granddaughters, JEBAR, and travel safely.

Also I hope you enjoy the MDC Henges Shooting Range time. I regularly shoot at two MDC ranges just outside of the Kansas City area: Parma Woods in Parkville, MO and Lake City in Buckner, MO. Both are quite nice facilities, and I also enjoy the friendly "gun chats" with other shooters during the cease fires. Always ammo flying down range at these locations. :)

Be safe, and leave us a bunch of bullets here in Missouri!!

I hope you have a good trip. Thanks for reaching out to other shooters. To me that is a perfect example of why this is such a wonderful gathering place for shooters.

one of our sons is finishing a 5 year residency at a major hospital in St Louis .... we have been fortunate to spend several weeks each year out there in our camper .... folks from Missouri have every right to be proud of their state park system .... I can only wish that one day my home state of NC might have similar facilities .... our son will be moving his family back home in late June but we plan to spend at least one week each year with friends we have made over the years and during that time to take advantage of the facilities at Jay Henges

Have a safe trip, JEBar. I know you will enjoy yourselves on the 16th at what sounds like a fantastic shooting range.

good wishes appreciated .... by the time we get there we should have something over 200 rounds for our 45-70 and closer to 500 44's ready to go .... goal is to get very well acquainted with both of our Henry's .... we hope to repeat when we come through her in June and again in August on our return trip ....

we are finishing up packing the last minute things .... we plan to pull out around 8:30AM for a long (for us) day's drive to Cookville, TN .... if all goes well we should pull into our son's home in Valley Park, MO .... the good news is, a slot has opened in our schedule for us to add a trip to Jay Henges .. :D ..
