Henry Rifle Forums

for me, being part of this community has been a really good learning experience .... when it came to firearms, I'd clearly settled into my own comfortable world and had no clue about what was going on outside of that world .... for example :

while I can't remember not having a 22 LR, I had no clue that for so many folks, it is such a major area of interest ....

when it comes to hunting rifles, I was firmly ensconced in the "speed kills" line of thinking .... the concept of lobbing 500 +/- gr bullets never crossed my mind

just curious ---- what, if anything, have you learned from being a member

I have discovered a lot of new friends that I never knew about before, and I've also discovered a lot of web sites that I never knew about before. We are severly limited here when it comes to buying anything gun-related, so to find new market places is always welcome.

Best of all, I've discovered the joys of owning a couple of Henry rifles, and learning about them from people who really know what they're talking about.

It was encouragement and guidance from our knowledgeable and friendly membership that inspired me to repair my Heritage Rough Rider on my own after the trigger screw snapped inside the gun.

Because of information here, I'm not going to be shooting any of my 130 grain FMJ bullets in my Big Boy anymore.

I learned how to drift the front sight and how to remove the semi-buckhorn rear sight to install a receiver mounted Skinner peep sight.

I learned about Ballistol and Renaissance Wax from conversations here.

Most of all, I learned that Henry owners are among the friendliest people in the world.

I have learned that no matter how good I get. I'll NEVER be able to shoot a 22 like Bandit!

I learned how to shoot better.

I learned from Sir Henry the importance of having a nice hot cup of quality coffee on the bench at the range.

I learned that I should of been a Cowboy so I could be like RR in that beautiful country he is in

I learned I will never ever be able to shoot as good as North Country Girl

I learned I will never be able to convince NCG to buy a 41 mag

I learned from Daytime Dave that New York doesnt look as bad as I thought it did.

Oh and I agree with CT this forum is great and I love it here. There is great group of people here.

I found another rare forum to add to the few I have joined, and remained with.
I learned about Skinner Sights, and ordered them for my Big Boy Carbine the evening I bought it.
I learned about Apex trigger kits for revolvers, ordered a pair for my J frames. Going over to meet my "Rabbi" this morning for coffee so he can show me a few tricks during the install to make it even sweeter... wouldn't hear of me just going ahead. You'll come Sunday.
I learned... I have another home away from home, where the folks are friendly, ammo is plentiful, and the range is always open.

I have learned how to create a forum website.

It's a lot of work, but the forums people are it's reward!

I can't even begin to list all I've learned since coming aboard the Henry RIfles Forum. It has been a fast and exciting ride, like it might be if I were a Pony Express rider! I never thought I'd participate on an internet forum for such a long time.

I'll keep on riding, looking for the next rested and fresh horse to mount!

My membership, here, has greatly reaffirmed what a pleasure it is to belong to a community of great folks and friends. I do belong to other forums, but none of them give me the same feeling of being at home as when I'm here. Thank-you, all, for that.

I've learned a lot about Henry rifles, too, but what most impresses me is the loyalty of the people who shoot them. That says more to me abut a company than all the marketing and ad campaigns in the world.

I've also been delighted to learn that folks, here, engage in so many types of shooting and are open to trying something new in their shooting. That's a very good fit for me.

Lastly, I greatly appreciate the fact that we have so many active shooters, here. I am a shooting addict and love to read posts on actual shooting. A pet peeve of mine is gun forums that are long on talk and way short on actual shooting. Not the case, here. Keep up the good work, folks.
