"You need a haircut, you need a trim."

Miss Tina was always riding my butt. Keep in mind that for the last forty years I have been in uniform.. ;)
Well, until I retired... but I still kept my hair shorter... just not as short. :D Once, I let it get almost a half inch long. :?

"You need a hair cut..."

Sheesh....

I finally had enough... I went in the bathroom, took the clippers, and zip, zip, zip.
Then the razor, zip, zip, zip.
Cueball.
8-)

Repeat every other day.
I had plenty of hair, I had just always kept it short due to my job... and the fact that I felt shaggy if it grew out.
No longer an issue.

My head doesn't sweat as much either. :P

I cut mine with electric clippers, too. It stays at 1 - 2mm long. Easy to wash, no worries about it being untidy. Job done! Image

My hair was at my shoulders when I stepped on the yellow footprints... in 1977.
That's the last time it's been over a half inch long.

The all weather haircut has crossed my mind many times. But I have a voice some where in the back ground telling me not so fast buster.

Big Al... I had the same voice, telling me the same thing. I had nice thick hair, but I kept it cut in the "High and Tight, or Cop Cut" anyway... to please the "boss"... and these days, the shorter the better look is in. As I look around, more and more guys are going cueball, or at least taking the clippers and trimming it tight against the skull.

My Daughter in OK was talking with her mom and suggested the Dollar Shave Club thing, which is what she ordered for her hubby to save on shaving costs. I wasn't as much worried about the costs, as looking for a nice razor to shave the face and head. Kit came in a couple days ago and I tossed the last disposable on Saturday or Sunday and used the new Razor on Tuesday, with their shaving butter. Amazing.... smooth shave with a sharp razor... sweet. Head and face as smooth as a newborn's butt. I was impressed. I was tempted to powder it instead of using the splash on aftershave.

From start to finish, softening with a warm wash cloth to wiping off the remaining shaving butter after the shave is done, now takes just seven or eight minutes... ten if I take my time and make a second pass just to make sure it's extra slick... ;) I am liking the new look and no worries about HAT hair when I pull off the Marine Cover walking into a store, sawdust in my hair coming in from the shop, and the like.

But it was a big step I thought about for a while before I took the leap... 8-)
