Lake Chelan State Park

I'm going camping for three days starting tomorrow. If I don't post I haven't fallen back into the lonely pit, I'm out having fun. Some of you might remember when I volunteered at the park. For years I spent April and May camped and volunteering. One year I camped for seven months in my teardrop.
My teardrop is now retired.................

Good to see you back on the road again.
I am sure the ranger will be pleased to see you.

The ranger called me an hour ago after seeing my name on the list and he told me to bring work clothes.

SH, if I send you the stamps, can you post your teardrop over to me please?!
That's a nice looking van, too. Good luck with the camping, and I hope you have a great time.

Your van needs a large Pink Flamingo tattoo, probably two.

Fun is a very good thing to enjoy!
The teardrop looks like it's quite well-decorated already with your travel stickers! Trust it will enjoy retirement.
Fun for us would be some more beautiful pictures of the Northwest, if you take your camera along.
Have a great time camping!

Well I'm off in about two hours. Just packing the final stuff. Might just have to take a Henry. There is NO shooting in the park unless you know the Rangers. We will often go up in the woods where they have set up a place to shoot.
Yes I will take a camera. Yes there is a coffee cup between the seats. And yes it needs something on the side. Flamingos are so yesterday and I'm thinking gnomes.

Gnomes ---- yes,
very cool fellows! Hopefully at least one of them might carry a hiking stick along as you travel!

Enjoy your time Gene. I have some how come across camping van interiors on my Pinterest. Very neat designs in the small package of a van.
I hope you get out to shoot.

Always wanted to go to Lake Chelan and talked about a trip there the last time I was at my sisters house. Guess they have a ferry that runs length of that lake which is somewhere close to 55 miles long. I would like to see the area. Hope you get to shoot Gene and that you have a great time. Al

The Lady of the Lake runs the full 55 miles up to Stehekin.

I've also flown in twice on a Beaver.

And I've flown in an Otter up to Friday Harbor. I may have flown in this very same plane but they have a dozen or so.

I've watched the Fourth of July fireworks over the Grand Coulee Dam several times. They have a laser show on the dam too. It is a mile wide dam.
