Progressing slowly

Although yesterday started out a little on the shaky side with the vehicle wiping out our mail box I did get some things done in my room. I had help from my friend who was off work yesterday and he is good at all kinds of home projects. This counter I bought is a brute to handle but we got it drilled for the dowels and got it glued and clamped together to make it a full 12' bench top. It now is a hefty 150 lbs. We trimmed the bottom of the base cabinets with left over knotty pine that the contractors threw in the dumpster when they finished the inside rooms and I got it out and put it up in the top of my garage for later use. They waste a lot of wood when doing work. These base cabinets from Lowe's are junk compared to my hand built cabinet my friend built me 30+ years ago. The bid fake center drawers will be made into real drawers soon. We just keep pecking away at things that need done. My floor has been totally ruined from the debris from the accident and all the block work. I am so disgusted with the floor I am not going to refinish it where my things will go back to sit. I will finish around them and it will be good enough. We moved one safe back to it's normal spot yesterday after I emptied all the junk out of it and laid everything on the floor. What a job to move those things around. My friend kept telling me to just put some of the stuff I was taking out in his van and he would dispose of it.
Still a few decisions on where to put everything in my room as I want to make some changes. I don't think I am going to put $500 in shelves again just to end up fire wood like the last time. Here is my top sitting on my cabinets joined together. I will give it a couple days to dry before fastening it down.

Here is the "junk" my friend wanted me to put in his van.
I just couldn't see cluttering his van up so I didn't do it.
