I went to my LGS Friday to look around and talk to the guys working there. The owner was there and I asked how the 22 ammo supply is now. He said he has so much right now he has been turning down ammo from his distributors. He said he could sell me full cases of ammo now because of being over stocked and easy to get more. He had some ammo there I haven't seen since '12 and the shortage began. His prices on CCI Blazers I saw were $25/brick and they were around $17 or so when the shortage hit the ammo supply. Not a real bad increase in pricing being a 5 year span since some ammo has even been on the shelves. He said he could do better on pricing on the case. The Blazers were in the 50 round boxes 10 to the brick which I feel is better than the 500 rounds dumped in one container. The 50 round boxes are better for me and don't get upset and spill out like the big bulk packs. I am probably going to get a case of Blazers for plinking ammo so I can shoot it up and not waste my Tac 22 and my CCI standards for off hand practice and for the kids to shoot. Things are looking good on ammo here and it showed at the show yesterday with the scalpers trying to still sell at crazy prices and I never seen anyone even pick up a box. The guys at the shows better plan on dropping their prices some or they will be sitting on a lot of ammo if things keep getting better. Forty eight dollars a brick at the show for CCI Standards and $32.95 at my LGS makes a big difference if you shoot often.

Did they have the federal 550 paks?

That's good news, I have seen the same here. Plenty of .22lr on the shelves some places still keeping it behind the counter but no limits.

Doing good on ammo, here, too, with the lone exception of 22 mag, which always seems to come and go as far as availability.

There was a good amount of 22 Mag. at the show yesterday and surprisingly they were not that bad on prices. They were mostly CCI and were from $14.99-15.99/box. There is a fair amount of 22 Mag. here local and is mostly Fiocchi brand 40 HPT. It is supposed to be pretty good stuff from what I hear from guys who have tried it.

I'm not in the market for any ammo, but I regularly check Cabela's online to see what's in their inventory. Many brands of 22LR and 22WMR are usually available, without limits, and sometimes at a great price. Today, you can buy 500 rounds of Norma Tac-22s for $39.99, and if your order is $99 or more, the shipping is free. Their ammo is even available for delivery to CT, though I needed to provide my state issued credentials to get it (sent once by email) and then order it by phone.

just got back from our local WalMart .... no 22LR's on the shelf .... the gun store right down the road has bunches of them

I was in our local hardware store today and they had shelves and shelves and shelves of .22 LR ammo. I've been looking at that Henry Golden Boy in the catalog.....coincidence I suppose.....

Golden Boys are nice RR but make sure you throw one to the shouder before you buy. The drop in the stock keeps me away from one and is the reason I have the H001T. Al
