What gun do you wish you could shoot more?

Hey guys,

I thought about this the other day, and thought everybody probably has one.

Maybe you don't shoot it cause it's old and rare, or it's too hard to find ammo for? Maybe it's just too punishing or requires a larger/longer range?

Anyway, in my case it's my .22 WMR bolt gun. It's too loud for the yard, so it never gets fired like the other .22s I do have a few hundred WRFs but they're too loud also.

Yes I did carry it all winter as my squirrel (Hogs are open too) gun, but only fired a dozen or so rounds hunting and mabe 50 more at the range.

The thing is, do largely to it's perfect trigger, It's my favorite and most accurate gun, and yet here it is on the list :(

So what gun do you wish you could shoot more and don't, and why?

Same here. I'd shoot hours a day if I could afford the time and the ammo!

Gotta go along with the group...aside from 2 guns I bought purely as mementos and never intended to shoot in the first place I wish I shot all my guns more.

I can relate to you guys.

It seems I can never justify the time right now to take a day, or even half a day for the range.

I guess I'm lucky to live where I do, and can shoot my .22s and airguns without concern. Here I am complaining about not being able to shoot one gun as often as I please.

I guess this thread would be more applicable over at Marlin Owners, where the guns tend to be older and perhaps more rare.

I tend to be so preoccupied with lever guns, single shots and single action revolvers, that I have sometimes have to go out of my way to shoot other types of guns. For the sake of a little variety, I'm fine with shooting our the few DA revolvers and CZ bolt guns we have, every now and then. Same with our few semi-auto rimfire rifles and rimfire pistols.

The one that really hurts, though, for not shooting it, more, is the 1911. This last week was a good example. Took out the SA Mil-Spec 1911 for a run and, as usual, made me wonder why I even bother shooting revolvers. A 1911 is so darn easy for me to shoot. Sometimes I feel like I can't miss. What is there about a 1911 that affects me so? Have always been ho hum when I pick up other bottom feeders, but once I pick up a 1911, there's some kind of magic that happens. It's a deja vu thing for me. Maybe I shot one in a past life. Whatever. May not fit with my cowgirl image, but I really need to shoot the 1911 more.
